The petitioner challenges Ext.P11 order by which he has been transferred from Kottayam to Kollam. Pursuant to the interim order of this Court, the said transfer order was not implemented and the substitute intended to be posted in his place has also been accommodated elsewhere. The petitioner was at Ernakulam, and before he completed his tenure, he was shifted to Kottayam. When his representation against the said transfer was pending, he was further transferred to Kollam. Now, the present prayer of the petitioner is to retain him at Kottayam, so that, he who is a resident of Ernakulam can go home, if necessary. Since the transfer order was not implemented, the same need not be implemented, now. But, in future, if the competent authority finds that, in exigencies of service, the petitioner has to be shifted from Kottayam, this direction will not affect the powers of the competent authority. The Writ Petition is disposed of as above. K.BALAKRISHNAN NAIR,
