Cont.Case (C).No.1434 of 2006-S

Dated, this the 9th day of July, 2007

JUDGMENT

H.L.Dattu,C.J. Aggrieved by the orders passed in O.P.No.23195 of 1997, the 4th respondent in the writ petition had filed a Writ Appeal before this Court in No.2342 of 2006. It appears that the said Writ Appeal was rejected by this Court. Being aggrieved by the said order, the 4th respondent and the State Government had carried the matter in Special Leave Petition before the apex Court in No.9532 of 2007.

2. In view of the subsequent developments, as on today the reliefs sought for by the complainants-petitioners in this contempt petition does not survive for consideration of this court and, therefore, cognizance of the contempt petition cannot be taken by us. Therefore, the contempt petition requires to be dropped and it is dropped for the present. However, liberty is reserved to the complainants-petitioners to move this Court again after the disposal of S.L.P.No.9532 of 2007. Ordered accordingly.
