W.P.(C)NO.22449 OF 2007DATED THIS THE 7th DAY OF AUGUST, 2007
JUDGMENT
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the Government and the University to nominate their representatives in the Committee to be constituted for selection of faculty/staff in the College of the petitioner.
2. The learned Government pleader on instructions submits that for self financing Colleges Government nominee is not mandatory. The learned standing counsel for the University is yet to get instructions. However, it is not disputed before me that the University is to nominate their representative in the Committee. In the above circumstance, I dispose of this writ petition recording the submission of the learned Government pleader and directing the University to take appropriate steps to nominate their representative in the Committee to be constituted for selection of faculty/staff in the petitioner's College within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
