W.P.(C) NO. 23666 OF 2007
Dated this the 10th day of August, 2007
J U D G M E N T
Petitioner was a Superintendent in Venganoor Grama Panchayat. He was placed under suspension for the irregularities mentioned in Ext.P8. Aggrieved by Ext.P8 order of suspension, petitioner has invoked the appellate remedy available to him by filing Ext.P9 before the 2nd respondent. Learned Government Pleader on instructions submit that Ext.P9 appeal is pending consideration before 2nd respondent.
2. Since the petitioner has already invoked the statutory remedy that is available to him, I am not inclined to consider the merits of the contentions at this stage. Therefore, I dispose of this writ petition directing the 2nd respondent to pass orders on Ext.P9, as expeditiously as possible, at any rate within a period of one month from the WPC 23666/07 date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Petitioner is directed to produce a copy of this judgment before the 2nd respondent for compliance. Writ petition is disposed of as above.
