J U D G M E N T

Since petitioner has offered settlement of liability in instalments, i.e. arrears of sales tax due for the assessment years 2002-03, 2005-06 and 2006-07, this writ petition is disposed of directing 2nd & 3rd respondent to release the vehicle after making endorsement in the RC book that the vehicle should not be transferred without prior permission from the 2nd respondent on petitioner remitting 25% of the sales tax arrears within three weeks from now. Petitioner is granted ten equal monthly instalments to clear the balance arrears, first of which will be paid on or before 10/10/2007 and balance on or before 10th day of nine succeeding months.
