The petitioner is working as Meter Reader in the Kerala Water Authority. He was promoted to the post of Meter Reader from the post of Peon and simultaneously he was transferred from Kannur district to Ernakulam district. The petitioner had been filing representations eversince he joined duty in Ernakulam district. It is contended that he has left his ailing parents and wife in Kannur district and is not able to put up with the meagre income he receives in a different district. He also submits that he has undergone a major surgery and that he requires attention by the members of his family. Ext.P3 representation filed by him in December 2005 is said to be pending with the respondents.
2. I have heard the counsel appearing for the respondent.
3. It is submitted that the request made by the petitioner for transfer and posting in Kannur district will be considered and W.P.(C)No.3542/2007 :2: appropriate decision will be taken. Hence, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider Ext.P3, as expeditiously as possible, take appropriate decision and communicate the same to the petitioner within three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment. Petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment before the concerned authority for information and necessary action.
