Dated this the 4th day of January, 2007
The petitioner is working as Assistant Registrar in the District Khadi & Village Industries Office, Alappuzha. Feeling aggrieved by the promotion of alleged juniors to the petitioners to the higher post of Project Officer, she filed Ext.P3 representation on 2.12.2006. In Ext.P3, she has requested that there are open vacancies in the post of Project Officer but the petitioner's claim is not considered despite her eligibility and acquisition of requisite qualifications. The petitioner has rushed to this Court as she is due to retire from service by the end of November 2007.
2. Learned Standing counsel for the respondent submits that action is being taken on Ext.P3 which was filed by the petitioner only on 2.12.2006.
3. In the circumstances, I am inclined to dispose of the writ petition fixing a time limit of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment for passing orders on Ext.P3. The petitioner shall W.P.(C)No.34550/2006 2 be afforded an opportunity of being heard by the respondent before Ext.P3 is disposed of. Ordered accordingly.
