The petitioner retired from the service of the respondent Board on 31.5.2000 while working as Assistant Engineer. It is contended that he was entitled to be promoted to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer before he retired from service, but the respondents failed to promote him. He made a request, as seen from Ext.P3 representation, to redress his grievance in the above matter before the first respondent.
2. Legal Laision Officer for the respondents submits that orders have not been passed on Ext.P3, since the petitioner retired in the same month in which he filed Ext.P3. However, it is submitted that appropriate decision will be taken on Ext.P3 without delay.
3. Recording the above submission and directing the first respondent to consider Ext.P3 on merits and pass orders, in W.P.(C)No.34474/2006 :2: accordance with law, at any rate, within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment, the writ petition is disposed of. The petitioner shall produce a copy of the judgment before the first respondent for necessary action.
