KURIAN JOSEPH, J.O.P. No.38159 of 2001 Dated 15th February, 2007.
J U D G M E N T
The writ petition is filed mainly with the following prayer :-
"Issue a writ of mandamus to the respondents 1 and 2 to exercise the authority vested in them to accord sanction without any further delay for payment of the remuneration for the legal work done by the petitioner for conferences and appearances along with the senior counsel for the Government in Criminal Appeal No.86/98 on the files of the Supreme Court, for which he is legally entitled as per claims made by him in Exts.P3, P5 and P8 and also to award interest thereon calculated from the date of Ext.P3 till date of payment at the rate of 12% per annum." There will be a direction to the second respondent to look into Exts.P3, P5 and P8 and take appropriate action thereon in accordance with law, to settle the grievance of the petitioner, within a period of three months from the date of production of a copy of the judgment. In case the petitioner requests for an opportunity for hearing, the same shall also be granted. It will be open to the petitioner to file a supplementary representation within a period of one month from today. The writ petition is disposed of as above.
