J U D G M E N T
The writ petition is filed mainly with the following prayers :-
(i) "Issue a writ of certiorari or any other appropriate writ, order or direction calling for the records leading to Exts.P1 and P2 and quash the seniority and rank assigned to the petitioner in Exts.P1 and P2. (ii) Declare that the petitioner is entitled to get proper seniority and rank by reckoning his service from 17.4.1969 as Village Assistant." There is no counter affidavit. It is submitted that in the case of similarly situated persons, the benefits have been granted pursuant to Ext.P5 judgment of this Court in O.P.6129/99 and connected cases, as implemented in Ext.P6. It is seen that the petitioner has since retired from service. Therefore, the writ petition is disposed of as follows :- The petitioner may file an appropriate representation before the first respondent within one month from today, producing a copy of Exts.P5 and P6, in which case, the grievance of the petitioner will be looked into and appropriate action to settle the grievance of the petitioner, without discriminating the OP NO.11586/2000 2 petitioner will be taken within another three months.
