O R D E RThe revision petitioner/accused stands convicted for the offence under section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and sentenced, as modified by the appellate court, to imprisonment till rising of the court and to pay a compensation of Rs. 50,000/- with the default clause.
2. The counsel for the revision petitioner has only sought for time to make the payment. In the circumstances, the conviction and sentence is affirmed. The revision petitioner is granted four months time from today onwards to pay the amount of compensation. He shall appear before the Judicial First Class Magistrate II, Thamarassery on 22.06.2007. The Crl. R.P is disposed of accordingly.
