THOTTATHIL B.RADHAKRISHNAN, JW.P(C).No.5206 OF 2007
Dated this the 22nd day of February, 2007
The petitioner applied for M.Phil course (Hindi) with the first respondent University. Ext.P4 dated 22.12.2006, calling upon her to appear for the interview at 10.30 a.m. on 1.1.2007 was received, according to her, only on 4.1.2007, which made her to promptly make Ext.P5 to the Vice Chancellor. By Ext.P2, the programme commences on 1.1.2007. Learned counsel for the University states that call memos to all candidates were issued under certificate of posting and all the others had appeared for the interview. Under such circumstances, it is directed that acting on Ext.P5, the petitioner will be given an opportunity to participate and will be taken in for the course if found eligible otherwise. The University will consider passing appropriate orders in her favour on her application as regards attendance for the course. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. THOTTATHIL B.RADHAKRISHNAN Judge kkb.
