The writ petition is filed mainly with the following prayer :-
"Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ order or direction commanding the respondents 1 to 4 not to detain the petitioner or restrain his travel abroad on account of Crime No.276/01 of Pandalam Police Station or in pursuance to any directions made by 7th respondent in the said crime and may direct the petitioner to travel abroad in accordance with law." It is submitted that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has left India and presently he is in Trinidad. Therefore, practically nothing survives in the writ petition. It is disposed of making it clear that in case the petitioner has still any grievance left, it will be open to him to pursue the same in appropriate proceedings.
