ORDERRevision petitioner stands convicted for the offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act and sentenced, as modified by the appellate court, to imprisonment till the rising of the court and to pay a compensation of Rs.1,85,000/- to the complainant and in default, to undergo simple imprisonment for one month.
2. Revision petitioner has only sought for time to make the payment. Revision petitioner is granted six months' time from today onwards to pay the amount of compensation. Revision petitioner shall appear before the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court (Additional Munsiff), Kasaragod on 26.9.2007 to receive the sentence.
