JUDGMENT

The petitioner who is retiring from the service of the K.S.R.T.C. on 31.3.2007 is aggrieved in that Ext.P4 representation which was submitted by him to the Managing Director of the K.S.R.T.C. has not been considered and decided so far. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has not been given due grade promotions on the reason that certain periods of leave availed by him have not been regularised. Considering the grounds raised and the submissions of Mr.N.Ananda Rajan, counsel for the petitioner and those of Mr.K.Prabhakaran, Standing Counsel who has taken notice on behalf of the K.S.R.T.C., this Writ Petition will stand disposed of in the following terms: The Managing Director of the K.S.R.T.C. will take up Ext.P4 immediately, consider the same in the light of the various grounds raised and the documents relied on by the petitioner and take a decision on Ext.P4 at the earliest and at any rate within six weeks of receiving a copy of this judgment together with a copy of the Writ Petition and all the exhibits. If the decision comes to be in favour of the petitioner, all the benefits resulting from the decision will be released to the petitioner without delay.
