J U D G M E N T
The grievance of the petitioner pertains to the delay in convening the meeting of the Departmental Promotion Committee for appointment to the post of Deputy Director of Agriculture. A time limit was fixed by this Court for convening the ad hoc meeting of the D.P.C. as per order passed on 19-1-2007.
2. The additional affidavit filed on behalf of the 2nd respondent shows that the ad hoc meeting of the D.P.C. has been convened on 26-3-2007, a select list was prepared and that the petitioner as well as one Kurian Mathew who was the petitioner in W.P.(C) No. 31841 of 2006, has been included in that list. It is stated that due notification will be issued immediately and steps will be taken to promote the petitioner and Shri. Kurian Mathew based on the rank assigned to them in the select list to be notified.
3. In the light of the above statements made in the additional affidavit of the respondent, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. K.K.DENESAN Judge jj
