JUDGMENT

The grievance of the petitioner is that no proper investigation is being conducted into Crime No. 146 of 2003 registered at the Town Police Station, Kozhikode. The learned Govt. Pleader was directed to take instructions. As directed, a detailed statement dt. 22.3.2007 was filed by the Dy.S.P.-I, CBCID, Calicut, who is at present conducting the investigation. It is unnecessary to advert to the history behind this litigation. Suffice it to say that the statement filed by the respondents reveal that investigation is being conducted into the matter by the present Investigating Officer. No further directions do appear, in these circumstances, to be necessary.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner prays that the present Investigator may be directed to conduct and complete the further investigation as expeditiously as possible.

3. This Writ Petition is allowed in part with direction to the present Investigating Officer to complete the further investigation as expeditiously as possible, at any rate, within a period of three months from this date. (R. BASANT) Judge tm
