1. STATE OF KERALA,
2. THE SUB INSPECTOR OF POLICE, TIRUR.
For Petitioner :SRI.V.VENUGOPALAN NAIR
For Respondent : No Appearance
The Hon'ble MR. Justice R.BASANT
O R D E R
R. BASANT, J.W.P.(C) NO.11114 OF 2007-W
Dated this the 13th day of April, 2007
The learned Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submits that the petitioner is not required to be arrested in connection with any matter by the respondents at the moment. It is true that earlier, a warrant was received and it was sought to be executed; but the same has been returned now without execution as the police could not execute the same. The available indications suggest that the petitioner was sought to be arrested under the COFEPOSA Act, 1974 which order of detention, it is reported, has been set aside by Ext.P1 judgment.
2. At any rate, inasmuch as the respondents assert that the petitioner is not required to be arrested now, no further directions are necessary in this writ petition. The submission of the learned Public Prosecutor is taken note of and recorded.
3. This writ petition is accordingly dismissed. Sd/-
