The petitioner is working as Head Constable, Kanjar Police Station, Idukki District. Ext.P2 representation filed by him is pending with the first respondent. The grievance of the petitioner is that he has not been granted the pay revision benefits ordered by the Government as per G.O(P) No: 145/06/Fin dated 25.3.2006. It is stated that he is not given the benefit of the G.O reducing the quantum of punishment to one of barring of increment for one year without cumulative effect. Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is due to retire from service by the end of June 2007.
2. Heard both sides. In the circumstances there shall be an order directing the first respondent to consider Ext.P2, pass orders in accordance with law and communicate the same to the petitioner within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the judgment along with a copy of the writ petition. Benefits found legitimately due to the petitioner based on orders passed on Ext.P2 shall be made available to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, for, he will be retiring from service within a short time.
