IN THE HIGH COURT OF KERALA AT ERNAKULAMOP No. 7468 of 2000(L)
1. MACT VADAKARA
For Petitioner :SRI.JACOB ABRAHAM
For Respondent :SRI.P.V.JYOTHI PRASAD
The Hon'ble MR. Justice KURIAN JOSEPH
O R D E R
KURIAN JOSEPH, J.O.P.No. 7468 of 2000
Dated this the 6th day of June, 2007
Petitioner is aggrieved by Ext.P1 award passed by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal, Vadakara. According to the petitioner the amount awarded is grossly insufficient in view of the serious injuries suffered by him. On going through the records it is seen that the Tribunal has adverted to in detail the nature of the injury and the compensation, which the petitioner is entitled to get in such circumstances. An amount of Rs.5,075/- with 12% interest along with costs was awarded. I am of the view that it is just and reasonable in the facts and circumstances of the case. Therefore, there is no merit in the writ petition. It is accordingly dismissed.
