NATIONAL INSURANCE CO. LTD. v SMT. KANKI DEVI - CMA Case No. 540 of 2006 RD-RJ 888 (1 May 2006)
S.B. CIVIL MISC. APPEAL NO. 540/2006
Date : 01.05.2006
HON'BLE MR. BHAGWATI PRASAD, J.
Mr. Sanjeev Johari for the appellant. ====
Two points have been raised by the learned counsel for the appellant. One is that on the day of accident, the license was not renewed. But it is admitted that the license was renewed within one month. That being the position, the invalidity of license cannot be pressed into service against the claimants. The second point urged is that an interest of 9% has been awarded.
The interest of 9% is not such an exaggerated figure which requires interference by this Court in appeal. There is no force in the appeal. The appeal is hereby dismissed.
