After arguments for some time, the learned counsel for the petitioner sought permission of the Court to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to make a representation to the
Secretary, Department of Panchayati Raj, Government of
Rajasthan, Jaipur in the light of the observations made by the
Division Bench of this Court in Songar Ram Vs. State of
Rajasthan & Another, reported in 1996 WLC (UC)P.1.
In view of the above, the petitioner is permitted to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to represent the
Secretary, Department of Panchayati Raj. If any such representation along with copy of the aforesaid judgment of
Division Bench, the Secretary, Department of Panchayati Raj shall consider and dispose of the same within a period of 3 weeks from the date of this order.
Consequently, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the above observations.
