GURU PRASAD SINGH v U O R, JAIPUR - CW Case No. 7726 of 2006 RD-RJ 1989 (16 April 2007)
IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE FOR
S.B. Civil Writ Petition No.7726/06
Guru Prasad Singh Vs. University of
Rajasthan & Anr. 16.04.2007
Hon'ble Mr. Justice Mohammad Rafiq
Shri Shobhit Tiwari for petitioner.
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
The petitioner in this case has prayed for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent University of Rajasthan to evolve an examination scheme for PG Diploma in Labour Laws which provides a chance for supplementary examination and allow the petitioner to appear in such supplementary examination in the year 2004-05.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, I find that the examination scheme was already in existence when the petitioner took admission in the
P.G. Diploma Course. Besides, such matter can be decided by the university authorities and not by this Court. Whether a supplementary chance should be given to the candidate and if so in how many subjects is something which is required to be decided by the academic experts. The petitioner however can make a representation to the Vice-Chancellor of the University for making a provision for supplementary examination in the P.G.
Diploma course. If any such representation is made, the same may be considered by the appropriate body in the University in accordance with law.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of.
