RAKESH KUMAR SHARMA v U O R - CW Case No. 2359 of 2000 RD-RJ 669 (2 February 2007)
S.B. Civil Writ Petition No.2359/2000
Rakesh Kumar Sharma Vs. University of Raj. 02.02.2007
Hon'ble Mr. Justice Mohammad Rafiq
Mr. Sandeep Maheshwari for petitioner.
Mr. R.D. Rastogi for respondent.
This writ petition has been filed to assail the order dated 24.4.2000 whereby the examination form of the petitioner for B.A. Part-II to be held in the year 2000 was not accepted by the respondent University because the same was not accompanied by a demand draft nor requisite amount of examination fee was sent by money order. A perusal of that order show that the petitioner was merely advised to remit the amount of examination fee or else his examination form would be rejected. It was also stated therein that the ex-student could not be allowed to appear in the examination for drawing and painting because such examination consists of practical too. This Court in its order dated 25.5.2000 required the petitioner to approach the Vice-Chancellor for redressal of his grievance. The learned counsel for the petitioner is not in a position to state whether the petitioner was thereafter allowed to appear in the examination. Now that a long period of almost seven years has gone by since then, no relief can possibly be granted to the petitioner at this stage.
The writ petition is accordingly dismissed with no order as to costs.
