GOPAL SINGH v RAM GOPAL MEENA AND ORS - CW Case No. 824 of 2002 [2007] RD-RJ 983 (21 February 2007)

IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE FOR RAJASTHAN AT JAIPUR

BENCH, JAIPUR

ORDER

S.B. CIVIL WRIT PETITION No.824/2002

GOPAL SINGH V/s RAM GOPAL MEENA & Ors.

DATE OF ORDER 21.2.2007

PRESENT

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE MOHAMMAD RAFIQ

Shri Manoj Sheoran for the petitioner.

In this writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the order dated 10.1.2002 by which his election as a member of Ward No.18 of Zila Parishad, Karauli was annulled on the ground that the nomination paper was illegally accepted because eon the date of scrutiny of his nomination, he was ineligible having been four living issues. The term of the

Zila Parishad for which the election was held on 29.1.2000 and the period of five years having already been come to an end and new election has been taken place in the year 2005,

I therefore do not see any merit in the writ petition.

This writ petition is therefore dismissed as having become infurctuous.
