Mr.K.Baskaran the learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of the learned counsels on either side, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. Heard the learned counsels appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as for the respondents.

4. This Writ Petition has been filed for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to fix the petitioner's seniority immediately over and above M.Chenrayan S.No.1365, in the combined revised seniority list prepared and consequently to give notional promotion as an Assistant, with retrospective effect, from 11.9.1979 and thereafter as a Superintendent and for further promotions such as Personal Assistant to District Educational Officer and Bursar, on par with his immediate Junior M.Chenrayan who stood as Sl.No.1365, on 1.4.1970, in the combined seniority list and consequently to pay all the attendant, service and monetary benefits and other benefits which the petitioner is legally entitled to from the date on which his junior has been given promotion.

5. The writ petition has been filed by the petitioner for re-fixing his seniority in the Department of Education. In view of the order passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.2116 to 2118 of 2007, dated 12.3.2007, the petitioner is directed to submit a representation to the second respondent furnishing all the relevant details and on receipt of the same, the second respondent is directed to pass an order on merits and in accordance with law and in the light of the order, dated 14.5.1990, passed in O.A.No.46 of 1988, O.A.No.847 of 1989 and O.A.No.885 of 1989, on the file of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal, Chennai, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of such representation.

With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. lan
