Mr.D.Sasikumar, the learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and also the learned Government Advocate, appearing for the respondents. With the consent of the counsels, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.10.2006, is directed to be disposed of by the first respondent within a stipulated period.

4.In view of the limited prayer sought for by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the respondent is directed to dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 24.10.2006, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving a reasonable opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned. Further, the petitioner is

directed to furnish a copy of the representation, dated 24.10.2006, to the first respondent along with a copy of this order.
