(The order of the Court was made by R.REGUPATHI, J.) This habeas corpus petition is filed to direct the second respondent to produce the detenue by name Sathya, aged 16, daughter of Kathirvelu of Kattumaylur Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District, before this Court and handover her to the custody of the petitioner.

2. The petitioner is the father of the detenue, who is a minor, aged about 16. It is alleged in the affidavit that his daughter was missing from 15.7.2007 and he entertained suspicion that her daughter would have been kidnapped by the 3rd respondent herein.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that on receipt of the complaint from the petitioner, a case in Crime No.265 of 2007 has been taken on file, on 19.7.2007. Parents of the boy also have been taken as accused in this case and they have been arrested during the investigation. However, both the detenue as well as the boy is still missing and the investigation is continuing.

5. We have heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials placed on record.

6. In view of the submission made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor this habeas corpus petition is closed directing the second respondent to continue the investigation. Index:Yes/No (P.D.D.J.) (R.R.J.) Internet:Yes 27.8.2007 msk
