The above writ appeal is directed against the order
dated 18.04.2002 made in WPMP No.1726 of 2002 in W.P.No.13271 of 2002, in and by which, the learned single Judge, while granting
interim injunction, has directed the petitioner therein to deposit a sum of Rs.1,75,000/- within a period of four weeks from the
date of receipt of a copy of the order. The said amount relates to payment of Urban Land Tax.
2. It is brought to our notice that while entertaining the above appeal, the Division Bench has directed the appellant to deposit a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- instead of Rs.1,75,000/- as ordered by the learned single Judge for continuing the interim injunction.
3. The learned counsel for the appellant submits that the said order has duly been complied with.
4. The above statement is hereby recorded. Considering the compliance of the conditional order passed by the Division Bench, we are of the view that ends of justice would be met by continuing the interim order till the disposal of the writ petition. Since the writ petition is of the year 2002, we direct the Registry to post the writ petition before the concerned Court for final disposal on 01.03.2007.
5. The writ appeal is disposed on the above terms. No costs. raa
