1. The land of the petitioner has been acquired under the Land Acquisition Act. The award was also made on 2.7.1973. The petitioner filed writ petition no. 50425 of 2003 for a direction that compensation be paid to him. This writ petition was dismissed on 13.11.2003. Subsequently he filed the present writ petition for claiming interest.
2. We have heard counsel for petitioner and Sr VB Misra and standing counsel for the respondents. The earlier writ petition has been dismissed on the ground that the petitioner had not lifted the compensation. In case there is any dispute regarding award, the petitioner may, if he is so advised, file an application for reference. With these observations the writ petition is dismissed.
