It is contended that the husband of the petitioner late Sudhir Rana was employed as Constable in U.P. Police Service. Rana has expired on 30.5.2003. The petitioner accordingly moved an application for payment of Gratuity, G.P.F. and other allowances payable to her on death of her husband. The application so made by the petitioner has yet not been processed. Hence the present writ petition.

In the facts and circumstances of the case present writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon respondent no. 2 to consider and decide the application made by the petitioner for payment of G.P.F., Gratuity and other dues payable to the petitioner on death of her husband, preferably within four weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him.
