Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents.

This writ petition has been filed only with the prayer for a direction in the nature of mandamus commanding respondent no. 1 to ensure payment of awarded amount vide award dated 7.8.1996 alongwith interest.

The procedure for getting the award executed is already provided under the Payment of Wages Act, which is not disputed by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In such view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with the observation that the petitioner may approach the competent authority under the relevant Act for getting his award executed.

No costs.
