The petitioner claims that he was assaulted by certain persons against whom he has lodged an F.I.R. but those persons are still absconding. The petitioner is seeking security. The question of security is to be decided by the District Level Committee headed by the District Magistrate under a Government Order.
In the circumstances, if the petitioner applies for security to the District Magistrate, the District Magistrate will get the matter enquired and place the facts found before the District Level Committee for appropriate decision as to whether security should be provided or not and, if security is to be provided, at what cost. The decision will be taken by the Committee within two months of the date on which certified copy of this order along with the representation is submitted before the District Magistrate.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
