The petitioner filed a claim petition before the Motor Accident Claim Tribunal/District Judge, Kanpur which is pending since 16th August, 2004.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel.

We dispose of the writ petition with the request to the Motor Accident Claim Tribunal/District Judge, Kanpur to decide the Claim Petition No. 709 of 2004 filed by the petitioner in accordance with law expeditiously preferably within six months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before the Court. It is made clear that the Court has not adjudicated upon the claim on merits.
