Heard counsel for the parties and perused the record.
The grievance of the petitioner is that he has made a representation dated 5.10.2005 for compassionate appointment under the Dying in Harness Rules before respondent no.2 but to no avail.
The only prayer of the counsel for the petitioner at this stage is that a direction may be issued to respondent no. 2 decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner within a time frame fixed by this Court.
The standing counsel has no objection to this prayer.
In the circumstances, the petition is disposed of finally with a direction to respondent no.2 to decide the aforesaid representation of the petitioner by a reasoned and speaking order, in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of submission of a certified copy of this order.
The petitioner shall file a certified copy of this order before respondent no.2 within 15 days from today.
