Smt. Rekha Devi v. District Magistrate & Ors. - WRIT - C No. 77752 of 2005 RD-AH 8041 (22 December 2005)
Hon. Dr. B.S. Chauhan, J.
Hon. Dilip Gupta, J.
The grievance raised by the petitioner in the present petition is that she is not liable to pay the arrears and the owner of the house Sri Ramesh Kumar is liable to pay the amount.
We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri W.H. Khan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.
Sri W.H. Khan, learned counsel appearing for the respondents has raised a preliminary objection that for the dispute raised in the petition, the proper remedy available to the petitioner is to approach the Competent Authority under Clause 6.5 of the Electricity Supply Code, 2005.
In view of the aforesaid objection, we decline to entertain this petition. It is, accordingly, dismissed. It would, however, be open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority under Clause 6.5 of the Electricity Supply Code, 2005 for the redressal of her grievances.
