Heard counsel for the parties and perused the record. With the consent of counsel for the parties, the case is being decided at the admission stage itsef.
The case of the petitioner is that her husband died in harness on 1.10.1995. Her application for compassionate appointment is not being considered by the respondents despite several reminders.
The only prayer of counsel for the petitioner is that the representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2005, contained in Annexure 4 to the writ petition be directed to be decided by respondent no. 2 within some time frame to which counsel for the respondents has no objection.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the respondent no. 2 to decide the representation of the petitioner dated 24.10.2005, contained in Annexure 4 to the writ petition, by a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law within six weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order together with a copy of the representation. No order as to costs.
