According to the petitioner, which is a school, it owns 4 school buses bearing numbers UPH - 303, URE - 6537, URE - 6753 and UP-72 A - 5203. According to the petitioner, the taxes, road worthiness, fitness, registration, insurance and pollution control in respect of these vehicles is proper yet, some officers of the transport department are harassing the petitioner by holding up the vehicles on the pretext of checking frequently because of which the children are not able to arrive in school on time.
In this connection, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent No. 2, which is dated 29th May 2006 and a copy of which has been enclosed as Annexure-3 to this writ petition.
In view of these averments, we direct the respondent No. 2 to look into the matter and to ensure that no unnecessary harassment of the petitioner and more importantly no harassment of the children, who are carried in the school buses takes place by the staff of the transport department in the district of Banda. The decision and the consequent action will be taken by the Transport Commissioner within a month of the date on which certified copy of this order along with photo copies of all the relevant papers of the each vehicles is submitted before the Transport Commissioner.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
