The applicant Om Prakash @ Raju is involved in Case Crime No. 416 of 2006, under Sections 387/506 I.P.C, Police Station Prem Nagar, district Bareilly.
Head learned counsel for the applicant and learned A.G.A. for the prosecution.
It is alleged by the prosecution that the accused-applicant gave threats on telephone to the complainant-informant for money failing which, he will face dire consequences. The police arrested this accused in connection with some other crime and it is alleged that he confessed guilt in police custody. A letter was recovered from his pocket as alleged by the prosecution demanding ransom but it was not sent to the complainant-informant.
In such circumstances, the applicant is entitled for bail.
Let the applicant Om Prakash @ Raju be released on bail on his executing a personal bond and furnishing two sureties each in the like amount to the satisfaction of court concerned.
