The fire-arm license of the petitioner was cancelled by the licensing authority by his order dated 7.3.2001. Challenging the said order the petitioner filed an appeal before the Commissioner, Agra Region, Agra, Respondent no.2 on 7.11.2002. The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that although more than three years have passed but the appeal has yet not been decided which is causing grave hardship to the petitioner.
Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel appearing for the respondents and considering the facts and circumstances of this case, this writ petition is disposed of finally with the direction that the appeal of the petitioner pending before the Respondent no.2 shall be heard and decided by the Respondent no.2, in accordance with law, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner within a period of three months from the date of filing of a certified copy of this order before him.
With the aforesaid observation/direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to cost.
