Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners contended before this Court that in spite of being senior, their seniority have not been considered as yet. Now the authorities are going to give promotion. However, considering the pros and cons we are of the view that the following order will serve the purpose.
In disposing the writ petition, we direct the appropriate authority to consider the representation of the petitioners within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order upon giving fullest opportunity of hearing and by passing a reasoned order thereon. For the purpose of effective adjudication a copy of the writ petition along with its annexures will be treated as part and parcel of the representation.
The promotion of the petitioners will be abide by the result of the consideration to be made by the authority.
Thus, the writ petition stands disposed of.
No order is passed as to costs.
