Petitioner Pushpa Rani apprehending her arrest in a non- bailable offence in case FIR No.118 dated 7.10.2006 registered under Sections 366-A/376/120-B IPC at Police Station C-Division, Amritsar, has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail.
I have heard the counsel for the parties.
Counsel for the petitioner contends that in terms of the interim order dated December 4, 2006, the petitioner has joined the investigation.
Counsel further contends that during the pendency of the petition, the matter has also been compromised between the parties.
Counsel for the respondent-State does not dispute the aforesaid factual position and he further on instructions from ASI Satwant Singh states that the petitioner is no more required for further investigation.
In view of the above, the interim order dated December 4, 2006 is made absolute.
Disposed of accordingly.
