Koshy, J.This is a petition alleging police harassment. It is submitted by the Government Pleader on instructions that petitioner agreed to conduct a marriage with the daughter of one Sivarajan. But the marriage did not take place because he was already married and residing with another lady. On the intervention of local people an agreement was signed, to return the amount already received from the parents of the girl. The allegation is that Two Lakhs rupees is received but only a part was received. On getting a complaint police only enquired into the matter. So far no crime is registered. If crime is registered police should investigation should be according to law. Recording the submission that police will not harass the petitioner and investigation will be conducted according to law, if crime is registered, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
