Supplementary affidavit filed today may be taken on record.
It is alleged that the mother of the petitioner was employed as Assistant Teacher in Prathmik Vidyalaya Nagal Laxmanbeer Block Chaumuha, District Mathura. She expired during harness on 7th June, 1997. The petitioner has, therefore, made an application for compassionate appointment. It is further stated that the father of the petitioner is running a small General Store shop and there is hardly any income. The petitioner was dependent upon the earning of his mother. The application for compassionate appointment has not been processed till date. Hence the present writ petition.
In view of the facts stated above, it would be in the interest of justice to require the District Basic Education Officer, Mathura to examine the application made by the petitioner for compassionate appointment strictly in accordance with law and to pass a reasoned speaking order, preferably within six weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is filed before him. It is ordered accordingly.
With the aforesaid directions/observations, the present writ petition is disposed of finally.
